ANHJALI is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in the fields of anatomy, histology, and related biomedical sciences. Published by Indonesian anatomists and histologists, the journal serves as a premier platform for original research, reviews, and case reports that contribute to anatomical and histological sciences in Indonesia and beyond.
Focus & Scope
ANHJALI publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, narrative reviews, case reports, and technical notes covering all aspects of human and comparative anatomy and histology. The journal particularly encourages submissions that combine classical morphological methods with modern molecular, imaging, or computational approaches.

ANHJALI provides immediate open access to all published articles based on the principle that freely available research supports a greater global exchange of knowledge and maximizes the visibility and impact of scientific work, particularly in the field of anatomy and histology.

Peer Review Process
ANHJALI employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process in which both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the evaluation. All submitted manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

Decision & Publication
The editorial team aims to complete initial review within 2 weeks and return peer review decisions within 6–8 weeks of submission. Authors will receive one of four decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
Publication Ethics
ANHJALI is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines established by internationally recognized bodies. All parties — editors, authors, and reviewers — are expected to adhere to these standards.
Authorship
Authorship must meet ICMJE criteria: substantial contributions to conception, drafting, final approval, and accountability. Guest, gift, and ghost authorship are strictly prohibited.
Plagiarism & Originality
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Similarity index must be below 20%. Simultaneous submission to another journal is not permitted.
Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose all financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the work. Reviewers with conflicts must recuse themselves.
Research Ethics
Studies involving human subjects must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and obtain approval from an institutional ethics committee (KEPK/IRB). Ethical clearance numbers must be stated.
Data Integrity
Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data constitutes research misconduct. Authors must retain raw data for a minimum of 5 years post-publication.
Corrections & Retractions
ANHJALI will publish corrections, clarifications, or retractions as necessary following COPE Retraction Guidelines. Authors must promptly notify the editorial office of discovered errors.
